Create PAGES, NEWS, POSTS, POLLS and EVENTS in Reach. How to leverage the publishing process for NEWS and enable registrations in EVENTS.
In LiveTiles Reach, the content is divided into different types (content types). The best known are "News articles", "Posts", "Events" and "Pages".
The "pages" are classic content pages, as they are used in the Internet on every web page. In these pages, content is published, usually without an expiration date, provided to users by a publisher.
News and posts are a contrast. Both are valid for a limited time. In contrast to pages and news, the post are created by the users themselves.
To create a page, navigate in the left navigation to the menu item "Pages - Manage pages". Hierarchies are created for each existing LiveTiles Reach Group (see Create LiveTiles Reach Group). In the example below, a new hierarchy is created in the LiveTiles Reach Group "Corporate communication:
If several pages have already been added, it looks like this:
In the user view the navigation looks like this:
A detailed description of the page creation can be found here.
In LiveTiles Reach, the content is divided into different types (content types). The best known are "News articles", "Posts", "Events" and "Pages".
The "News" correspond to classic news articles like in a daily newspaper. These articles are created by authors. The lifetime of the news is usually limited to a more or less short time.
To create news, navigate to the section "News - Manage News" in the navigation on the left.
On the news overview page the news can be created and managed:
In the left navigation select the group in which you want to create the news. With the button "Create news article" an empty template is opened.
The content is entered similar to a Word document.
News articles can also include content from external sources. When opening the news article the external source is automatically opened.
It is possible that this feature is not yet enabled for your LiveTiles Reach. Let us know and we will activate it for you.
Don't forget to approve (publish) the news article so that the article is visible to the readers.
Polls can also be added to news articles. You can find the section about creating polls here.

A "post" is a short message from a user to post a question or a small message. It can be compared to the posts on Facebook or Instagram.
Basically anyone can create a post, you do not have to be an author to do so, so anyone can read the post. Navigate to the menu item "Posts" in the left menu bar and select the desired post group in which you are a member:
Creating a post is very easy: enter text in the upper field, it's also possible to add an image as attachment (press paper clip image) and send the post via paper airplane icon. Hashtags (#hashtag) and mentioning of users (@username) are supported.
The creator of a post can still edit the post afterwards, e.g. correct a typo. Editing of a post can be done via the three vertical points in the post.
To group posts, either new groups must be created or existing groups can be used. On the group you can then activate "Allow posts in this group". The groups with activated Posts function will then appear under Posts to the users who are members of the groups. Only members of a posts group can create, read and comment on posts in the group.
In LiveTiles Reach, the content is divided into different types (content types). The best known are "News articles", "Posts", "Events" and "Pages".
An "event" is designed for events with and without registration. For example, you are planning a team event? Let your colleagues know via event and add a registration option. Integrated polls allow detailed queries of participant information. Evaluations are visible at a glance.
Navigate to the "Events" section in the left navigation. If you do not see this area, it could be related to your license model.
To create an event, navigate to the "Manage Events" page and click "New Event" in the header. Here you select the desired group that corresponds to the target audience of your event. In the example below, the new event will be created in the "Everyone" group
With the function "Click here to specify the event dates" you set the start and end date of the event. With "Repeat" recurring events can be defined (this feature is not yet generally active, please contact us if you want to try this out).
You can define a publication date separately. After the end date of the event has been reached, the entry will no longer be displayed in the overview.
Polls can also be inserted in the events. You can find a clear description here.
A detailed description of the event creation can be found here.

A "poll" is not a separate content type, but a part of it. Polls can be created within a news article or within an event.
To create a poll, navigate either to the editor of a news article orof an event. The creation process is the same for both.
In the lower part of the editor the poll can be activated:
You get a grid for your poll:
You can insert your questions into this grid. You can configure the individual question packages as single or multiple choice. Via the gear wheel, a multiple selection can be defined, which is what was done for the first question (so the participant could order several menus). The second question is a single selection.

Click on "Turn on registrations for this event".
