Go for it! In this article we will outline the most important steps to quickly set up LiveTiles Reach in a new environment and start using it immediately.
With the following instructions and helpful questions, you can set up and start using LiveTiles Reach in your environment and for your needs in just a few steps:
1. Setting up channels:
In which structure is the distribution of information in your organization most useful? Think about how best to organize the content: by topics, organizational units, departments or specialties? Typical channels could be HR, general topics, marketing or IT news in a company. This makes content more relevant because it can be ensured at the time of collection that the target group is matched to the role and interests of the readers. All channels for the thematic grouping of news articles can be created via "Settings" in the menu item Channels. The channels can be arranged in the list to define the default sorting in which the channels are listed to the users.
2. Target Group Orientation:
In the same menu item of the channels you can define in the target group alignment which channels will be shown to new users when they start using LiveTiles Reach. Default and Mandatory Channels can be defined.
3. Groups:
What does the target audience look like? Who can see which news?LiveTiles Reach supports recipient-friendly communication thanks to groups. Users can only read and create articles in groups of which they are members. Create suitable groups in the menu item Groups. A possible division would be, for example, a group in which all employees are included ("Everyone") and additional groups for locations or departments:
4. Permissions:
Who is authorized to write and publish content? The roles determine what is possible within a group for the respective user. Manage the desired groups and associated roles in the menu item Groups under Settings. LiveTiles Reach offers the following authorization concept:5. Branding:
The Corporate Design represents the most well-known component of a Corporate Identity and creates already with few characteristics such as the firm logo or certain colors a recognizing value. Use these features to adapt LiveTiles Reach to your Corporate Identity in a few steps. The logo, colors (base and highlight color), the name of the app and the login link can be managed in the menu item Customizations under Settings.

In the menu item Users under Settings, LiveTiles Reach can be connected to Azure AD or people can be invited manually via email.
To use Azure AD for user authentication only, no special permissions are required. You can simply log in with any user from AD with whom you want to connect. As soon as you also want to use Azure AD groups in LiveTiles Reach or perform a proper user search, you need administrator permission. However, this can also be done in a later step.
7. Keywords:
How will users search for content in the future? Keywords help to assign specific terms to content such as news so that it can be found more quickly. Thus, keywords can correspond to categories, topics, departments or locations, for example. Set up keyword groups and keywords in the settings to assign them when entering articles and refine the search later.
8. Create first News:
Write and publish a first news article with the editor via Manage News. Please consider in which channel the news should be available, use an attractive banner image and suitable keywords:
